Jennifer is a Doctor of Philosophy candidate and Eyes High Doctoral Scholar in the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Calgary. She received her Bachelor of Nursing degree with distinction in 2007 and has worked in both adult and pediatric hospice palliative care since 2008. Her research focuses on hospice nurses and how their practice is changing in response to the introduction of medical assistance in dying (MAID) as an end-of-life care option in Canada.
When she’s not busy being a PhD student, Jennifer is a die-hard Calgary Stampeders and Flames fan who enjoys hiking, writing, and binge-watching television shows.
